Every app at the till — in one laBox
laBox runs on the branch computer: it downloads the apps you enable in the panel — iikoFront, laPOS, laMusic, cameras and more — verifies their signature, starts them and keeps them updated. Free for every laCafe customer.
Windows 10/11, 64 and 32-bit.
Download, enter the code — laBox does the rest
No configuration, IP addresses or copying files. You choose which app runs on which computer in the laCafe panel.
C:\Program Files\laBox and runs as a service.Keeps your till computer in order
laBox itself has no business logic. Its job is to install apps correctly, run them safely and keep them alive.
Apps install themselves
Enable an app in the panel — laBox downloads and starts it. Disable it — laBox stops and removes it.
Updates itself
New versions of laBox and its apps install automatically. If a new version fails, it rolls back to the previous one.
Every file is signed
Ed25519 signature and sha256 are verified — laBox never installs an unsigned file. Apps don't run as SYSTEM.
For tablets on the LAN
Waiter, kiosk and table tablets reach laBox apps over the local network (port 8190).
Always on
Starts with the computer and restarts crashed apps. You get a notification when the connection drops or returns.
Status window and log
The tray icon colour shows the status. The window has apps, logs, an event journal and system info.

Frequently asked questions
Is laBox paid?
No. laBox is part of the base laCafe package — every customer installs it for free. Prices of the apps inside are listed in the store.
How many laBoxes can a branch have?
Unlimited. Limits are set per app: for example, iikoFront runs on only one laBox per branch.
Does it work on Windows 7 or 8?
No, Windows 10 or 11 is required. There is a separate file for 32-bit Windows.
How do I move laBox to another branch?
In the laBox window: System info → Connection → Disconnect, then Connect with a new code using the new branch's code. On Windows this asks for administrator rights.
How does laBox update?
By itself. laBox fetches the new version from the CDN, verifies the signature and restarts. Apps work the same way — if a new version fails, it rolls back.
Can apps access data on my computer?
Apps run as a restricted user, not SYSTEM. They never see the device key — only a 1-hour token with their own scopes. If the restaurant stops an app, its token dies immediately.
